A Real Property Report (RPR) is a document that shows the boundaries of your property and any improvements on it. If you do not have an updated RPR, it may be necessary to obtain one depending on the terms of the real estate contract.
The standard real estate contract used by Realtors in Alberta requires the seller to provide a Real Property Report with evidence of compliance to the buyer. If you do not have one, you can agree with the buyer during the negotiation stage that they will purchase the property without an RPR or agree to a credit instead. Your Realtor will assist you with this process.
If you need to order a Real Property Report, they are ordered through an Alberta Land Surveyor.
