When do I receive my property title?

The transfer of land documents required for the transfer of ownership will be submitted to the Alberta Land Titles Registry on the Closing Date. The timeline for registration of these documents depends on the current volume of transactions being processed by the Registry. It is important to note that registration times can vary, ranging from as little as one week to as long as five months.

Once the transfer of land is successfully registered, our office will receive notice from the Land Titles Registry confirming the registration. At this point, we begin processing the final reporting package, which includes delivering the property title to you. Our current processing time for delivering the title and final reporting package is approximately one month from the date we receive the notice from the Land Titles Registry.

We understand the importance of receiving the property title, and we strive to complete the necessary steps in a timely manner. However, please note that the registration process and subsequent delivery of the title are subject to factors beyond our control, such as the workload at the Land Titles Registry.

Rest assured that we will diligently work to ensure a smooth transfer and provide you with the property title as soon as possible. If you have any specific concerns or questions about the timeline for receiving your property title, please feel free to reach out to our office. We are here to assist you throughout the process and keep you informed every step of the way.
